Welcome to Dwell on These. In Philippians 4:8, the apostle Paul tells us, “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable–if anything is excellent or praiseworthy–dwell on these things.” There is much to be concerned about it our world today. There are so many things to bring us down.
There is also so much good. The good news doesn’t get the word of mouth, the press coverage, the praise it deserves, and so we go on thinking that there is nothing worth celebrating. But God is good all the time, and He is always at work–working all things for good for those that love Him.
So stop and look around at things both big and small. Ask God to open your eyes to His blessings, His creation, His majesty that surrounds us so that He may encourage our spirits, and so that we may praise Him for He is indeed worthy!
